Although it will not be implemented at launch, Nintendo has announced plans to include functionality within Super Smash Bros. for Wii U that allows you to share various content with others over the internet. This feature isn't just limited to friends either, as you can choose to share your creations with the entire world publicly. Although not explicitly said, it would be natural for Miiverse to be the vehicle for doing so. Naturally this will allow a much greater diversity of stages than in previous entries in the series, and with the level of freedom offered to fans, it'll be easy to find something new whenever you feel like a change.
Not only will you be able to share any photos you've taken in game, but also your finest custom fighters, your most jaw-dropping replays, and even custom stages you've made using the game's built-in stage editor.
There's also a lot of functionality that expands what are essentially solo experiences on the 3DS version into multiplayer delights. You can play Target Blast, Event Matches, Home-Run Contest, Smash Tour, and even Classic Mode with at least two players now. These changes really take advantage for the Wii U's living room-friendly ethos, and hopefully will encourage Super Smash Bros. for Wii U to be a much more social endeavour compared to its 3DS counterpart.
Overall it seems that the Wii U version is really pushing the idea of sharing your own experiences within the game with others in a manner that hasn't necessarily been present in previous titles – with a few exceptions, of course – and we're all for moving forward, but what about you? Do you feel a stirring inside you at the possibility of thousands of new stages available to your for free? Let us know in the comments!

DAAAAAAHHHHHH HYYYYPPPPEEE. But seriously Nintendo, how about an ACTUAL Nintendo Direct.
Is NL going to make a post about all the things to be patched in later, seems like there were several.
And can you find out if the Wii U will really work with 8 wireless simulataneous connections? I just cant believe it.
I predict that this mode will be shut down after a wave of genital-shaped levels.
@ZachBeacon The Miiverse stage too.
@Dipper723 @ZachBeacon I really hope they don't do this, it'd be a waste.
I really hope they have admins to keep the stages clean. I don't want this to be another Swapnote. Also I think the Miiverse stage will be fine cuz the Miiverse admins are usually on top of it.
@triforcepower73 Don't you mean Swapnote?
@potatomage7 Yeah yeah... I'm tired..
@NintyMan Oh, okay.
@rjejr
Probably not but how about using 4 gamecube-controllers and 4 wireless ones?
I love drawing apps like Colors 3D and Comic Workshop. The number of options to help get the creative juices flowing is phenomenal!. I just wonder how Nintendo can filter all the dirty ones. It seems like some notsokidfriendly images will make it to the server. I believe this is the reason we don't have Flipnote 3D yet.
I wonder if you'll be able to create stages for all the different modes that new Brawl brings along with it.
I can see a lot of people gonna recreate old stages in the smash franchise.
@rjejr: Not sure if you got your answer already from elsewhere but Super Smash Bros.'s official site says that you can use up to 7 Wii Remotes (with add-ons) or Wii U Pro Controllers. You can also connect 8 3DS or use 2 GameCube adapters to plug in 8 Cube controllers. Then there's also the possibility of using a GamePad. I don't know if there are any restrictions or if you can use any possible combination.
Yea yes yes
Ooooh cool!
@Late - Thanks. Amazing that they can do all that but we can't get 2 Gamepads to work. I understand it's probably a streaming issue for having what would be processing 3 video screens at once but if it can hook up w/ a Gamepad and 7 3DS and handle all 8 characters battling it out online at once, and 4 player split screen for MK8, why not 2 Gamepads? Not 2 Gamepads plus 6 3DS, just 2 Gamepads by themselves.
I'm hoping this stage builder is more robust than the one in Brawl. What would be awesome is if you could import your own custom graphics into these stages. That would never fly with Nintendo; at least they would probably prohibit sharing these online. Still, if there is room for a lot creativity to be had.
I hope there's enough tools in stage builder to recreate Melee's Termina Bay. Definitely one of the best stages in the Smash Series. N64's Hyrule Castle wouldn't hurt either.
