Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is one of the most intriguing releases for Wii U this year, and it's getting a rather handsome special edition in the West. It includes a 5x8 colour artbook, a six-song soundtrack CD featuring some of the game's awesome music, six song cards and a sticker sheet, along with a DLC pack that includes five pieces of content that'll otherwise cost $1.99 each.
UK gamers can place their pre-orders now, if they're keen, as the Official Nintendo UK Store has opened its listings; it's limited to one per customer, too. The following options are available, both in stock at the time of writing.
- Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Fortissimo Edition - £64.99
- Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE - £49.99
Also of note, the Star Fox Zero first print edition is back in stock with an free cap - this includes Star Fox Guard and a Steelbook case. You can grab it for £49.99 here.
Are any of you in the UK planning to jump on these? Let us know.

No word on if the hot springs dlc is really not leaving Japan? I thought I read swimsuit costume dlc. Weird to leave the suits but remove the location.
I was going to get the Fortissimo edition, but I'll grab a standard copy from elsewhere and save some pounds.
Sweet, I've just pre-ordered the special edition. Although I may just get the regular later down the line.
YEAH BOY!!!!! Preordered, Im a sucker for Atlus special editions. Shame theres no steel book though.
Q) Are any of you in the UK planning to jump on these?
A) Whilst I do really want the Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Fortissimo Edition, I rarely shop anywhere outside of GAME for my video games, particularly when it comes to online shopping. I've put in a word with my usual GAME store, so my copy of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE will immediately default to the special edition once their store has it announced available for pre-order.
Personally, I prefer to weeb out when I get Project X Zone 2.
.... I want the hotsprings dlc. (T-T )
Oh well, at least the collector's edition looks pretty.
Wish they had offered the cap instead of the Star Fox T-Shirt originally, the XL lies somewhere between a Medium and a Large.
I was hoping this obsession with form fit clothing hadn't infected the world of video game apparel.
Oh and I've preordered the Fortissimo edition. Now I just gotta grab the Japanes Soundtrack.
Will preorder if its stillaviable in may when I get more money.
And I want that hotspring DLC too...
I'll grab the regular edition from somewhere that's selling it under £30.
Pegi 12? I figured that it was more likely to get a 16 (there's a lot of overlap between T and Pegi 12/16).
Cop the f*** on Nintendo. They've a small Wii U username and can't expand the market. So how do they reward us loyal hardcore fans? By trying to bleed us dry with these Collectors Editions. Some of the bundles have been good and fairly priced but this, what makes it worth £65/€80? Some stickers and song cards? Or a DLC pack before the game even comes out? Get real! We deserve better treatment. Is the company run by chimpanzees or what the hell is going on in Kyoto? The amount of mistakes they're making is frightening. This game is niche enough without scaring potential customers away with those prices.
Or maybe it deserves its price for being lazily translated and ridiculously censored?
Special Edition order.
Gonna skip the special edition. Fates was worth it with the one game card thing but this is a pure cash-in for collectors and hoarders.
"Oh, but it's all shiny and from Nintendo and will be worth loads in a few years". Yeah, could make you £30 profit in 10 years.
@CrazedCavalier It's being censored so no worries of it being rated higher than 12's.
Haha have I just become your guys regular tipster? Anyway I've got my special edition pre-ordered and ready to go I'm very pleased Nintendo has decided to go for the one per customer route should've done that with fire emblem Nintendo!
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Have you seen what Microsoft and Sony do? If anything, they can be worse than Nintendo!
Boom sold out stock must have been low as hell I guess with atlus stopping EU support.
Just like Fates, it sold out before I got a chance =(
@May_Nyan They always have a "second-wave". Might be up later or in a day or so. The Kirby Amiibo bundle for the Robobot game sold out fast but then they added more.
@DoctorOverbuild "Haha have I just become your guys regular tipster? Anyway I've got my special edition pre-ordered and ready to go I'm very pleased Nintendo has decided to go for the one per customer route should've done that with fire emblem Nintendo!"
As per usual... I have secured a pre-order of the item...
@DoctorOverbuild "Boom sold out stock must have been low as hell I guess with atlus stopping EU support."
Heh heh... So it is likely to be rare soon... Chara-like laugh
Excellent! >
I bet you remember who I am referring to when I say Chara... hehe...
@DoctorOverbuild Wow that was fast! Didn't expect it.
Good thing I informed my friend.
Also means its likely to be a valuable collector's piece.
I got it as soon as I saw a tweet about it. Super hyped about this game especially after watching the GameXplain PAX East preview video.
@Alundra-1998 I only say that as I send these guys emails and I get Tom replying to me saying he'll check it out then there's an article (no mention I told him though)
@FX102A Exactly! One per customer too is pretty shocking it sold out must just be all the problems with Atlus and Europe!
I also told them about star Fox being back in stock and that was mentioned in the article haha
Dang it Amazon where are you? I really don't want to have to pay full price from gamestop if I don't have to...
@DoctorOverbuild Heh heh... I love pre-ordering titles like this and it makes me feel EVEN better regarding the Atlus issues as that just ups the rarity value in my mind...
@Alundra-1998 Yes it feels great having trouble rare game especially one on the Wii U and such a niche title at that! But it sucks for anyone who didn't get it at least it's not like fire emblem AF it's only some collectble items!
@DoctorOverbuild Yeah. I agree. But I just like being Chara... hehe...
Imagine that... A real life Chara... I would enjoy that reality...
Missed it, balls
Meanwhile in the states, the LE is still ups for grabs from Gamestop...
Didn't think I'd bother but it's out of stock anyway so my decision has been made for me - I'll just get the standard edition (and maybe when the price comes down).
Worst name for a game and for a bundle I ever heard.
@rushiosan That is a reason why it is sortof a niche title and so the reason why I jumped at a pre-order.
I love games that will potentially become rare and sought-after.
@Alundra-1998 I hope you're right and this becomes some post-modern classic someday
Missed it today, damn. Im really annoyed, My phone didn't ping me when it came up, the one time I needed it to work and it failed me, didn't help that I was doing Uni work as well so being preoccupied. hopefully they will have like a second wave or something, don't want to have to resort to scalpers.
If anyone here wants to sell me their PAL special edition because they don't want it, hit me up!
Sold out already, didn't bother with fire emblem for the same reason
@SLIGEACH_EIRE That's not censorship.
Also, is the 'lazy translation' you're referring to the fact that they didn't rerecord the songs in English?
@hefferj It's the whole package and the fact there's no English voice acting, just subtitles. The game has been censored from its original Japanese version with Nintendo passing the buck to Atlus but these changes are being made at Nintendo's behest. You hear people saying that Persona 5 won't be censored and why's that? It's because it's not on a Nintendo console. Nintendo want to win back the hardcore audience? Well it's decisions like this that drive people away and don't come back. This game smacks of just doing the bare minimum in order to get it to market. I can see it from Nintendo's perspective, the game bombed in Japan, it's not likely to do well here either so they've to keep the costs down. But as a consumer, doing this and then asking for £65/€80 is a bit rich.
@AuroraSpark I know right? Scalpers are the scum of the earth...
Scalpers are hardly the scum of the earth, they just see an opportunity to make a profit in the same way all businesses do. It's just human nature. If you want to blame anyone blame Nintendo for making such limited quantities of certain things.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I'm actually someone who prefers original voices. I find english dubbing kind of out of place.
The "sold-out" Fortissimo edition will be back on sale at Nintendo before too long, just like XCX, Rodea and StarFox are now...
@SLIGEACH_EIRE As you mentioned, it wouldn't be worth their while rerecording the songs. Songs differ hugely from regular dialogue in terms of localisation costs and effort and this game is as niche as they come. I and (I imagine many other people) prefer to have the original Japanese songs rather than new versions. I have a feeling though that you would complain even if Nintendo had done that.
And again, changes in localisation are NOT censorship. Please stop spreading this misinformation.
Once again Nintendo alienate their audience and feed the eBay scalpers. Oh Nintendo, for such a lovable company, you do make it hard to love you sometimes! Anyway, there's 65 bucks waiting for you right here if you want it...
I am FURIOUS with Nintendo. I ordered both of these items last night and chose to ship to a PO BOX address in Northern Ireland (a package delivery service) because I live in the Republic but Nintendo cancelled my order because they "only ship to residential addresses".
Now the Fortissimo Edition is sold out. They didn't even ask me for an alternate shipping address, just cancelled the damn order.
I want this for canada plzz
I'm happy enough to wait for reviews with this. I'd like it to be good but I'm not ruling out the possibility it just isn't my cup of tea.
@The_BAAD_Man
Amazon Germany has it up for pre order.
