A number of eShop enthusiasts are likely getting more familiar with the work of Flyhigh Works and SKIPMORE, studios that have had a number of games published by CIRCLE Entertainment - past credits include Fairune and most recently the rather brilliant Kamiko on the Switch eShop.
There's now another 3DS title on the way from these teams - Drancia Saga. It's a 'frantic action' game with serious retro vibes that bring to mind a host of classics from the 8- and 16-bit era. It's combat-driven as you clear screens of foes utilising various moves - check it out below.
As you can see, if you have some other well-regarded 3DS eShop games installed on your system you'll get some neat bonus characters, with the Gunman Clive tie-in being rather eye-catching.
This one is out very soon, too - it'll arrive on 18th May in North America for $5USD, and 25th May in Europe and Australia with a Euro price of €5.
Are you tempted by this one?

Can't play 3ds anymore
One thing that I saw clearly...
They use their Sword Horizontally !
No Vertical Attack at all !
That was insane.
"Blah blah they shouldn't make any more 3ds games because the Switch has been out 2 months and doesn't have a full library yet"
I like how one Fairune character is "Mysterious Girl" and the other is just "???". Out-mystery'd!
Anyway, I love Skipmore's stuff, so I'll definitely pick this up.
I have a game quite like this on my mobile. If this has some sort of quest mode, I might bite. If it's just "rack up a high score" the action really isn't varied enough to hold long term interest.
Aw, yeah! Been waiting for this game to come to the US, so definitely will be picking this up on its launch day
theres so much frantic action going on i just cant keep up.
Looks fun. Maybe id buy it for the switch. I like that kind of loyal customer bonus.
Looks cool, may check it out sometimes.
I'm actually very excited for this. And for $5!
Yep, day one for me.
Gunman Clive needs all the publicity "he" can get.
And the low price tag is the cherry on top. Hell yeah!
I'll definitely pick this up, especially since I have half of all the games that unlock bonus characters!
It's like amiibo without the amiibo!
Looking forward to it, I just lack Fairune and the novel games.
@kingc8 I mean that since the Switch is here I don't want to play it anymore due to bad graphics and it feels werid
(Unless your comment was a joke..)
I see they're up to their old tricks with ugly 8-bit style graphics and shallow gameplay. Call me if their skills ever make it past 1985.
If this has Stereoscopic 3d I'm buying. No 3d and I'm passing. I actually enjoyed the Android version but unless the 3d is on 3ds it just wouldn't be worth it to me
@kingc8 Thought so, but you never know
