The latest batch of My Nintendo game discounts for Europe has now gone live, giving players the usual chance to grab some 3DS and Wii U games at discounted prices.
There are five games up for grabs this time around, including the likes of Xenoblade and Metroid. As always, you can take advantage of these discounts by simply using the required Gold or Platinum My Nintendo Points listed below.
- [New 3DS] 30% off Xenoblade Chronicles 3D: 130 Gold Points
- [Wii U / New 3DS] 50% off Super Metroid (Virtual Console SNES): 40 Gold Points
- [3DS] 50% off Mole Mania (Virtual Console GB): 15 Gold Points
- [3DS] 20% off Hydroventure: Spin Cycle: 65 Platinum Points
- [3DS] 50% off Cooking Mama: Bon Appétit!: 150 Gold Points
Will you be taking advantage of any of these offers? Remember, your Gold Points can also be spent on Switch software directly from the eShop or a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, too.

3DS garbage, moving on.
It’s starting to get a bit annoying that the discounts are never for any switch games when is this gonna happen
20% off Hydroventure: Spin Cycle as a part of an official loyalty programme is one of the most infuriating things I've seen from Nintendo in a while
Decided to spend my gold points earlier this week before they expire as we can’t ever redeem them for switch discount anyway...
@RunGMhx but the Gold points are a switch discount in themselves...
Anyways, bring back Club Nintendo!
For a Rewards programme, it doesn't feel very rewarding.
The longer this goes on, the more I wonder what is even the point in it. Super Metroid is a decades old game with a relatively small price to begin with, but they still want money for it so only label a discount, instead of making it free with Gold Points purchase.
@Bunkerneath spent 900 points to get 9$ off, with the discount seen above... 130 points (so about 1/7 of what I spent), give you a discount of 22$ (CAD) (about 2.5 times what I got) which makes spending points on percentage off about 17 times more advantageous... so yeah gold point give you money off but I wouldn’t say it’s nearly the same or even compare the two... I’m pretty sure Nintendo will give you switch discount at some point... I honestly thought these would be the special offers perks that supposedly come with NSO (instead of the right to purchase rather useless controller).
@Pluto14
Do you think it isn't generous enough? It's a pretty small discount, but it only requires 65 platinum coins.
These rewards are so rewarding. I’m loving it. My Nintendo at its best.
It does give all of us a good laugh
Last My Nintendo discount like this is where I got Xenoblade. Took me a while to start it, but once I did... well, I've been mentioning the rest here and there. Easily one of the best games on the platform, and most likely on its original platform as well. If this piece of "3DS garbage" (to quote the wisdom source known as "fan comments on NL") proves your cup of tea, you'll be looking at the BotW tier of playtime.
Be warned, of course, this playtime has a file size to match.
I'm taking advantage of the fact that the physical versions of the good games are already way cheaper and the world offers like three million better things I can buy instead of the bad ones.
At this point I'd be happy with themes but compared to the ones NA gets EU managed to screw even that up.
I own the original Mole Mania on Gameboy, highly recommend it.
Still waiting for Xenoblade Chronicles remaster on the Switch.
That game was quite beautiful despite the Wii limitations (and ugly as hell characters models).
Wake me up when they announce a remaster/remake/other sequel/anything by Monolith soft on the Switch.
Still nothing in Switch...ugh (I know, I know, we’ve beaten this to death)
I might actually buy Xenoblade for 3DS if they ever offer such a discount in North America. That’s the kind of game I would love to be able to play on the go, and at this point the original game cards are nowhere to be found. Does anyone know how many blocks it takes up, though? I imagine it’s fairly massive, and I’m curious if my SD card can handle it.
If you haven't played the original Xenoblade Chronicles, go do that now
@Blizzia Nonce
@ga3tr0n Totes... I guess?
@Blizzia Xenoblade Chronicles is not garbage!
It's my all time favorite game
@thesilverbrick I have it on my 3DS. When I get home I can look up how much storage or takes up

The US discount ended earlier this month, so unfortunately you're a bit late.
Don't have the exact size, but Xenoblade's the largest 3DS game. Over in the EU it's just over 30k blocks, though I think the US size is smaller.
I nearly bought Hydroventure last night, might as well get it with this discount.
As much as i agree with everyone that this rewards system needs to improve, i've actually used quite a lot of these discounts, particularly the 3DS ones as i still have a long list of e-shop and VC games to buy on it, so far i've gotten games like the Wario Lands, Dillon and Super Little Acorns for cheaper prices, which i'm happy about.
@leo13 Thanks!
@leo13 Good for you. It's still for the 3DS which is dead and buried. Discounts that aren't on Switch aren't interesting.
If you haven't played Xenoblade yet you really should.
@Blizzia Tbh that logic is flawed.......
Things not going your way does not mean well you get what I am saying. If not...........
I'd like to get a discount for Spore, pls
Xenoblade Chronicles for Switch, please <3
@marck13 @Rhaoulos I hope we see an X port before a remaster. A Xenogears remaster would be neat too. And there's been talk of a Xenosaga HD release. Although Xenosaga holds up fine without a remaster, on episode 1 and 3 at least. That's the advantage of "anime" games.
@thesilverbrick Game stop has physical for $40, which is a good deal actually.
@IceEarthGuard That logic isn't flawed. Since all my opinions are subjective to me, and all discounts that aren't for Switch have no interest for me, there's no flaw.
@Blizzia My bad, my opinions came out and told me to write that. Sorry.
@nhSnork The Original Xenoblade Chronicles is easily the best in the series and a top 5 JRPG of all time for me.
@IceEarthGuard See, this is why I keep telling people to always put a leash on their opinions! If you don't leash them, eventually they just come out and boss you around!
I don't think I have taken advantage of a single deal that Nintendo has offered with their rewards program since it has been announced. I really wish we still had Club Nintendo. While the rewards hardly ever changed, at least it had real, tangible rewards to look forward to especially if you hit platinum at the end of the year.
@thesilverbrick I'm sorry. I really thought I had downloaded it. Turns out I have the cartridge
@leo13 Haha, no worries.
