2021 sure is going fast, and now that it's May, it means E3 is just around the corner. The main all-digital event is scheduled to take place between 12th-15th of June, but not every publisher and developer is necessarily participating in the main show.
One company that will be doing its own thing again is Electronic Arts. This year will see the return of its EA Play Live event. As noted, it'll be taking place in the following month, on 22nd July.
While EA's not revealed anything about its latest show just yet, if it's like past years, at the very least we expect to see new entries for its key franchises.
EA has already released Apex Legends and Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville on the Switch this year, so hopefully there's more to come. Is there anything from EA's library you would like to see make its way across to Nintendo's hybrid system? Leave a comment down below.

You've watched the first 10 minutes of EA live, now pay just $4.99!!! to become a pro member and watch the rest!
@FroZtedFlakerZz
Yes. And then, pay $6.99 for the Pro Plus, which allows you to watch ad-free!
Yeah, I'll save the date. That'll be the date I stay offline and have someone pick the lint out of my fur.
See this news article for $100000000000 dollars.
Honestly, I don't know why they think that hosting an event after e3 will do them any favors. If anything, hosting it during e3 will garner some viewers who are bored and have nothing better to do while they wait for the other conferences..
Are they going to give us another FIFA and a full priced port of a PS2 game?
Useless info for Switch users.
No interest in EA or the **** they turn out.
I have nothing nice to say...I'll just stay quiet.
@COVIDberry Psh, preposterous!
They should comb the lint out of your fur, shampoo it, and condition it to maximum waviness!
I ain't wasting my b-day on EA's crap. lol
@ecco6t9 yeah this is essentially, useless information for switch users.
Only thing for Nintendo Switch: FIFA 22 Legacy Edition
Outside Dragon Age, there’s not much I want from EA on Switch.
It was interesting to see EA announce greater Switch support last year. It was a long time coming. And the results were pretty good. Apex Legends was something I never thought I’d see on Switch. The Switch version of Plants Vs. Zombies: BFN is the definitive version since it has no microtransactions. Knockout City looks fun.
Hoping this is the year we get classic Popcap games on Switch. Or at the very least, Peggle 2. I’m hoping we get more news on Lost in Random, as that is growing to be one of my most anticipated games this year. And of course, I’d like to see more EA Originals come to the platform.
Oh boy, I wonder if they'll announce a new fifa or NBA game!!!
Jedi Fallen Order 2? May still be too early though. Loved the first game. Or maybe we'll get a new genre of Star Wars game like with Squadrons last year. Other than Star Wars, I'm in no way excited for this. I can't really think of any other ip I'd want to see there.
How in the heck does EA stay in business?
It's a common joke in gaming circles that EA is just flat out terrible.
@Poodlestargenerica Amen, bro. Somehow they've taken Battlefront and made it boring.
Their Star Wars titles have gorgeous visuals and hollow gameplay.
"Personal Note : July 22nd, do NOT watch the EA thing."
Thank you guys.
EA Play Live, more like pay live, ha
I think the last EA game I bought was a second-hand Sims 3, and my game crashed somewhere in the middle, making my progress impossible because of a kind of softlock.
I know EA are money grabbing monsters who focus primarily on the bottom line but I still have a delusional fantasy that one day a form of The Sims will come to Switch.
I would be happy seeing EA play come to switch, its great value.
It would be pretty cool being able to access their older games like Dead Space, Dantes Inferno, Alice Madness Returns and the Crysis Trilogy on Switch.
I cant see the newer games like Battlefield or Fallen Order running unless they offer them on a streaming service.
I am a sole Nintendo man and always will be, however I will watch pretty much anyone talking about video games. Just not EA (or ubisoft actually)
This kind of news is becoming woefully irrelevant to Nintendo players. ^^
@Absol Same man, Sims or gtfo 😄
EA: Save the date.
Switch owners: Why?
I wish EA would sell off the Dragon Age IP so I would never have to buy anything from them ever again.
Oh boy guys. WHO IS READY FOR ANOTHER FIFA LEGACY EDITION
That the only videogame related stream I would never watch.
The Sims. PLEASE. Darn it EA, do you know how much money you’d make by getting me to re-purchase all that DLC so I can play the game in handheld?!
