Sega and Lego have unveiled four brand new Sonic the Hedgehog Lego sets, and they're launching on 1st August 2023.
Tails and Amy now have their own minifigures and their own sets too in the form of Tails' Workshop — which comes with its own Tornado Plane — and Amy's Animal Rescue Island. The other two sets are the Speed Sphere, which allows Sonic to do his iconic spin dash, and the Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge, with a giant ring and a loop-de-loop. Sonic can also chill out with a Flicky while indulging in some chili dogs, too. Absolutely perfect.
A few new Badniks will be coming with these new sets, such as the Moto Bug, Buzz Bomber, and Clucky. And all four sets have varying degrees of complexity and and playability.
Here are all four sets:
Sonic’s Speed Sphere Challenge
- 292 pieces
- Comes with Sonic, Moto bug Badnik, Flicky
- 29,99 EUR / 34,99 USD / 24,99 GBP

Don't say it...
DON'T SAY IT...
GOTTA BUILD FAST!
For goodness sake.
I think the piece count in the tails set is incorrect because if it’s really €40 it means it’s the lego set with the best price to parts ratio ever.
There is a mistake at the end of the article - The Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge set is actually an eye-watering £94.99! I am a fully paid up Lego apologist but even I think their prices are getting out of control.
I'm not chuckling about the lack of Knuckles. Sets look pretty cool, though.
Absolutely lovely, probably won't get any of them (at least for now) considering their prices just like with the Lego Mario sets but still, hope anyone who does enjoys them!
Maybe we'll see some stuff around the other characters, like a set called "Master Emerald Altar & Knuckles," or a set with Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic at the Space Colony ARK, or a Death Egg Robot, or even a set with Shadow, Rouge the Bat and E-123 Omega! Maybe even an adorable set of Cream and Cheese, Vanilla and Chocola, Big the Cat and Gemerl. Then again, that's just wishful thinking.
Awesome trailer.
I'd love to get these for the characters, but they're sooo expensive (that last price is wrong, it's £94.99!!!).
Anyone else just want the minifigs?
Amy represented before Knuckles for once? Wow. I love Knux but very glad to see Amy get some rare representation. The proportions of these still look kinda weird to me but its still very cute.
I have a small handful of minifigs on my desk around my work computer, including Sonic, Disney themepark characters, and my Torius Chord (U-Wing pilot). I'm still annoyed Hasbro didn't make a 3.75" figure (they put Cassian in with the vehicle instead, grr) but me in Lego form is the next best thing!
@cmdrmarc Me. I'll have a spare Sonic from the old Lego Dimensions set so I'll give the set minus figs to a young relative. I would say "why don't they sell them separately?" but its probably precisely because they know people who want the figures will buy the full set just to get them. Boo capitalism. lol
At 0:48 you can see the Death Egg Robot. That is the only one that interests me.
I’ve been waiting since Lego dimensions for Lego Sonic sets and whilst the ideas GHZ was good these on another level
Bit pricey though…
@GogGogGogGog That GHZ was a cool set but I was put off from buying it as a collectible because of the generic Ideas packaging.
It must have sold well enough to start this whole new range, so hopefully the packaging will be more fitting for the Sonic/Sega theme
The detail on this particular Lego set is pretty impressive and I kind of want to get one for myself. Also, that commercial was pretty entertaining as well.
Is it just me or is there commas instead of periods for the prices?
Can't wait for the Dr Eggman content. Love the little tease in the trailer where you can see the Death Egg Robot in the background
